Responsibilities

Provide timely, accurate, concise, relevant, and complete information to the HR Director for strategic planning purposes.

Own payroll administration for exempt and hourly employees in the Insperity HRIS system.

Hire personnel and partner with the HR Generalist in the recruitment process; train, administer, and oversee interviews; negotiate and prepare offers for new hires.

Support and own the onboarding process for all new hires.

Administer benefits for all company programs, explain them to candidates and new hires, and conduct annual open enrollment meetings.

Administer medical, dental, life insurance, cafeteria plan, short/long‑term leaves, and ADA leaves.

Review and approve billing for all benefits invoicing.

Administer the 401K program and related paperwork.

Maintain employee records and the Human Resources Information System.

Update and manage new hire and termination files in a timely manner.

Educate staff regularly on Human Resources policy and conduct training sessions.

Coordinate and maintain records of company‑sponsored visas for associates.

Handle employee requests such as verifications of employment with Insperity.

Administer health, safety, and security issues, including Workman’s compensation and health programs.

Prepare for internal and external audit requirements related to Human Resources and conduct internal audits as needed.

Prepare employee termination notices and conduct exit interviews.

Maintain the organizational chart and coordinate results with the annual culture survey.

Assist with the coordination of the performance appraisal program.

Organize internal workshops and training programs assigned by the HR Director.

Work closely with all personnel in the HR department to keep lines of communication open.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.

SHRM certification is a plus.

Fluent in English and Spanish; excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills.

3 years of experience as an HR Generalist in a hands‑on role.

2 years of experience with payroll systems, benefits administration, and recruitment.

Strong communication, writing, listening, and presentation skills.

Good judgment and decision‑making aptitude.

Teamwork, collaboration, motivation, and the ability to inspire others to improve performance.

Maintain confidentiality at the highest standards.

Patience in interactions, negotiations, opposing opinions, and challenging situations.

Adherence to the company’s code of ethical behavior.

Experience with HRIS software, proficiency in MS Office, HR administration platforms, and knowledge of federal and state laws.

Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Supply Chain, or Legal is a plus.

Work closely with employees and management to provide guidance on Human Resources procedures and processes;

Maintain up-date information in HRIS and on bulletin boards, ensuring legal compliance & easy-to-read aesthetic that maximizes exposure and impact;

Investigate employee relations concerns and make recommendations on appropriate follow up actions;

Coach, counsel, and advise employees and supervisors on matters related to employee handbook, policies, disciplinary action, and termination

The Spirit of the Position:

LAZ Parking is looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join the team. The Senior Human Resources Generalist reports to the Regional HRBP and Regional VP. The position is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, including but not limited to maintaining the HRIS, managing employee relations, training, onboarding/recruiting and adhering to compliance regulations and policies to assist with building and maintaining a positive and productive team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works well with others and is a strong team leader.\nGuide and advice management on state and federal employment laws and regulations.\nRecord all personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, benefits, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics in HRIS and payroll systems for all employees; generate reports and analyze data. Update HRIS to reflect all necessary employee status changes.\nEnsuring compliance with multiple Collection Bargaining Agreements.\nLeverage analytics, data and reporting to identify better ways to drive results.\nRespond to unemployment notices timely for best results favorable to the company. Coordinate with manager and UI representatives in preparation of UI hearings.\nAct as a liaison to the Home Office related to employee benefits inquiries within the region.\nAssist and coordinate with Safety Manager and Managers on worker's compensation cases, LOA, and RTW status, maintaining DOT records. Ensure compliance of DOT requirements when recruiting/hiring of shuttle drivers and transfers to shuttle driver positions.\nHandle and communicate FMLA/CFRA designations including worker's compensation leaves.\nAssist in recruiting location management and administrative positions, including recruitment, posting ads, resume screening and potentially interviewing. Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation and training. Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition Team for recruitment/hiring of frontline positions.\nAnswer and/or refer employee questions regarding Payroll, Benefits, Work/Life, PTO, Company & Union Policies etc. Ensure eligibility of union benefits and meet benefits reporting deadlines. Manage and handle union benefits audits.\nAssist with Employee Relations as an integral part of the management team. Assist with creating and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a positive team environment.\nConduct investigations of reported employee concerns. Recommend and coordinate with Regional HRBP, RVP and GM to resolution.\nAssist with the worker's compensation reporting procedures and coordinate with various entities through the process to closing of the cases. Record OSHA recordable cases to ensure accurate data in OSHA 300.\nAssist the Regional Leadership with coordinating employee events to promote teamwork and a positive work environment.\nProvide assistance and support in the absence of the Regional HRBP.\nHandle and manage additional projects and tasks assigned.\nREQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

2 or more years HR experience with a workforce of 300+ employees, including experience with union labor force.\nSKILLS:

Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word, strong internet skills using external websites.\nProven ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to collaborate well with team members as well as independently.\nStrong organizational skills\nStrong analytical skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time to meet set deadlines.\nProven problem-solving abilities.\nAttention-to-detail and high-level of accuracy required.\nPrior experience with HRIS or other HR technology desired\nAble to drive, has valid CA driver's license.\nAble to travel to other states as needed.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to consistently sit for sustained periods of time.\nAbility to stand and walk occasionally to various worksites and other areas of the airport.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of at least 30 pounds in weight.\nAbility to bend, stoop, squat and lift occasionally throughout a shift.\nAbility to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.\nAbility to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists, and arms.\nAbility to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.\nAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discrimination in sound.
