Entry Level Data Analyst

The Entry Level Data Analyst is a hands-on position focused on defining the data needs for the enterprise data warehouse. The position will work within IT to help Sompo International create an industry-leading data warehouse that measures performance of all aspects of the company’s operations.
Position Responsibilities
Compile and manipulate datasets Perform statistical analyses, identify and interpret trends Work with vendors and partners to fulfill data needs and execute programs Design and execute randomized control trials (experiments) Develop infographics, maps, and other data visualizations as needed Compile reports and presentations Propose and implement systems for managing and improving data processes Required Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of basic statistics Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in R and/or other data science languages (e.g., Python) Ability to create effective data tools and visualizations Strong commitment to progressive values and causes Ability to work well under pressure, manage several projects simultaneously, and adhere to strict deadlines Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Willing to have a flexible work schedule 1-2 years of organizing and/or political experience preferred. Understanding of and respect for requirements of confidentiality.
