
We are seeking a skilled
Mechanical Designer
to support our team through a high-volume workload. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who is comfortable moving quickly between detailing, design, modeling, and analysis in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities
Design, model, and detail mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor Create accurate drawings for fabrication and manufacturing Perform engineering calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) using Inventor Support existing projects by updating and correcting designs, fixing parts, and improving legacy models Design components and systems related to steel mill equipment, material handling systems, and process lines Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to meet tight schedules Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements Qualifications
Proven experience as a designer in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment Strong proficiency with Inventor (modeling, detailing, drawings, and FEA) Prior experience working with steel mills, material handling equipment, or process line equipment Ability to perform basic to intermediate engineering calculations Experience with equipment detailing, redesigns, and modifications Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Preferred Experience
Background in heavy equipment, capital equipment, or custom machinery Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, and fabrication Experience supporting fast-paced or backlog-driven engineering teams
