
Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Assistant Technical Designer to support our technical design team on a full-time, onsite basis through May. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in product development and garment construction who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, fashion-focused environment. Key Responsibilities
Measure and spec garments accurately against established standards and size specifications. Assist in creating and updating detailed tech packs, including measurements, construction details, trims, and callouts. Record fit comments and construction notes during fittings and ensure updates are reflected in all documentation. Follow up with vendors on sample status, approvals, and required corrections. Track and organize incoming samples, ensuring they are properly labeled, measured, and logged. Support the technical design team with day-to-day administrative and production-related tasks as needed. Qualifications
Entry-level or up to 2 years of experience in technical design, product development, or a related apparel role. Foundational understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when measuring and documenting garment specs. Comfort working in Excel or similar tools to update tech packs and measurement charts. Clear written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence with vendors. Ability to work onsite full-time in Newport Beach, CA through May. Engagement Details
