The Role The Role
This role is responsible for providing clear financial insight, disciplined forecasting, and practical decision support to the President of North America, the Chief Growth Officer, and their commercial leadership teams. The role plays a critical part in connecting commercial strategy, operational execution, and financial outcomes across the Americas.
The role reports directly to the Global Head of FP&A and operates in close partnership with Global Finance, Business Intelligence, Regional Controlling, Regional Supply Chain Finance, and regional commercial leaders. The position is a core member of the Americas Executive Leadership Team and represents the full Finance function in those forums. Success in this role requires strong judgment, the ability to influence without authority, and a hands-on approach to developing people and improving how decisions are made.
Key Responsibilities Business Partnership:
Act as the primary finance partner to the President of North America and the Chief Growth
Serve as the senior Finance representative to the Americas Executive Leadership Team, representing Commercial Finance, FP&A, Controlling, and Supply Chain Finance.
Bring controlling, cost, and supply chain finance topics to the Americas Executive Leadership Team, ensuring clear linkage between commercial decisions, operational performance, and financial
Ensure monthly and quarterly results are clearly articulated to the Global Executive Team and Board, with clear explanation of drivers, risks, and required actions.
Lead the monthly demand forecast in partnership with Sales and Marketing, ensuring full integration into the S&OP process and ongoing revenue and margin forecasts.
Review business performance across revenue, margin, and cost, and provide clear, actionable
Work closely with regional global supply chain finance to give inputs to ensure allocation of costs are done correctly
FP&A:
Own the regional budgeting and long-range planning process, aligned to global FP&A standards, assumptions, and timelines.
Develop and maintain forecasting models for sales, OPEX, and EBITDA
Support Global Controlling by providing high-quality inputs related to balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, without direct ownership of those processes.
Provide clear analysis on customer, product, and channel profitability, incorporating market and competitor context where relevant.
Translate financial results into practical insights and actions to improve profitability, mix, and capital
Assess the financial viability of business development initiatives, including new product development, channel expansion, and M&A activity.
Lead product portfolio profitability reviews and make recommendations on investment, optimization, or discontinuation.
Drive standardization and discipline around pricing, discounts, and rebate processes, supported by margin and market analysis
Reporting, Analytics and Data Enablement:
Lead the preparation of all regional finance presentations and KPI reporting, including monthly and quarterly Board materials.
Partner with other regional commercial teams to align KPI definitions, metrics, and reporting where
Work closely with Global Business Intelligence and Data Engineering to ensure standard, scalable reporting solutions are adopted across the Americas.
Help the Americas organization become more data driven by improving data quality, consistency, and adoption of standard reports, dashboards, and analytics in day-to-day decision making.
Act as a bridge between commercial leaders and data teams, translating business questions into clear analytical requirements and prioritizing demand.
Own OPEX and headcount reporting versus AOP and forecast.
Oversee prioritization and demand management of analytical and reporting requests delivered through the BI team.
Run the monthly commercial market unit month end
Provide revenue and EBITA estimates to global In addition, give inputs to regional accounting team on accruals for expenses and other items.
Load data into various global systems as appropriately based upon oversight of role
Governance & Controls:
Ensure appropriate financial controls and governance are in place across the commercial
Maintain discipline around product pricing and customer discount
Oversee tracking of sales incentive effectiveness and alignment with performance
Ensure consistent ROI assessment of sales and marketing
Reinforce cost management discipline and investment effectiveness across the region
People Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop members of the commercial finance
Build finance capability across the broader commercial organization through coaching, structured support, and clear expectations.
Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high-quality decision
Actively identify and develop future finance leaders within the team
Other:
Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects as required
Basic Requirements Compensation
The current range for this role based out of Jersey City, NJ is $213,161/yr. to $231,001/yr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
What You'll Need
Experience / Training / Education
Bachelor’s degree required
A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a digital-focused DTC environment
Demonstrated experience in forecasting, budget management and risk assessment
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce
CPA or CA, a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, most notably with Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated experience in utilizing BI reporting tools such as Power BI required
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365 FinOps and CE preferred
Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or retail environment preferred
