Role Summary
You will own the product vision, roadmap, and value delivery for modernizing the sub-accounting platform while personally driving requirement discovery and conversion from the legacy/source system. You’ll balance strategic prioritization with hands‑on analysis—reverse‑engineering legacy behaviors, defining canonical target models, crafting high‑quality Agile stories with testable criteria, and ensuring end‑to‑end traceability, compliance, and operational resilience. Strong experience in banking/financial services domain (BFSI) is a must.
Technical Skills
Data Analysis & Modeling
Strong SQL for querying legacy systems and validating migrations.
Ability to design canonical data models for investor, position, and trade data.
Knowledge of data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation techniques.
API & Integration Knowledge
Understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
Ability to define API contracts, payload structures, and error handling requirements.
Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, MQ) for real-time trade/event processing.
ETL & Data Migration
Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, or similar).
Knowledge of data quality frameworks, lineage, and governance.
Agile Tools & Practices
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
Writing BDD/Gherkin acceptance criteria for automated testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts for release readiness.
Reporting & Analytics
Ability to define reporting specs for broker‑dealer and regulatory outputs.
Understanding of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for dashboards and operational insights.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in banking/financial services domain (BFSI).
Familiarity with technical leadership for modernization programs.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and observability tools.
Roles & Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and communicate the modernization vision: scalable omnibus recordkeeping, resilient trade processing, accurate investor/position data, and transparent reporting.
Build a migration roadmap: wave planning
Prioritize features balancing business value, regulatory obligations, technical feasibility, and operational risk.
Requirement Conversion (Legacy → Modern)
Lead reverse‑engineering of the source system (tables, batch jobs, reports, screens, interface specs).
Produce field‑level mappings and transformation rules for investor details, positions, cost basis/tax lots, omnibus accounts, and broker‑dealer reporting.
Author the canonical data model specifications and API/event contracts for modern services.
Maintain traceability: Source Requirement (SR‑ID) → Epic/Feature → Story → Test cases → UAT sign‑off.
Backlog Ownership & Agile Delivery
Create and refine epics/features/stories with Given‑When‑Then acceptance criteria and DoR/DoD definitions.
Run backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross‑team dependency management; drive PI Planning where applicable.
Accept stories based on measurable outcomes (accuracy, performance, resiliency, observability, compliance).
Process Design & Controls
Define TO‑BE processes for trade intake, netting, cut‑offs, settlement/NAV dependencies, reconciliation, and break management.
Establish operational controls (SLAs, exception workflows, audit trails, data lineage, retention).
Partner with Compliance/Risk to embed regulatory requirements (e.g., cost basis, reporting, AML/KYC insights, 22c‑2 analytics).
Stakeholder & Change Leadership
Align broker‑dealer operations, fund accounting, technology, data engineering, and compliance on goals and release plans.
Conduct workshops/demos; publish release notes and operational runbooks; manage change impacts and training.
Employee Benefits
Discretionary Annual Incentive.
Comprehensive Medical Coverage: Medical & Health, Dental & Vision, Disability Planning & Insurance, Pet Insurance Plans.
Family Support: Maternal & Parental Leaves.
