As a core member of the Competitive Intelligence (CI) function within the Product Marketing Manager team, you will collaborate with the Senior Director of PMM/CI to scale our intelligence function. You will build the "Intel Engine" by working with the Product & Technology team and third‑party research partners to translate complex inputs into simple, high‑impact sales assets. If you enjoy turning a 10‑page technical report into a 30‑second positioning pitch for a sales rep, this role is for you. Responsibilities
Execute Competitive Asset Production (50%):
Tier 1 assets (battlecards, one‑pagers, objection handlers and talk tracks) for competitive threats; partner with Product & Technology to translate technical differentiation into value‑based sales positioning; update assets after major competitive announcements. Tier 2 & 3 Coverage:
Produce assets for secondary competitors within the strategic framework; monitor pricing changes, feature launches and positioning shifts; flag threats early. The Translation Engine:
Synthesize complex technical insights into punchy, value‑based positioning and 30‑second sales pitches; write competitive messaging focused on business outcomes. Operate the Intel Engine:
Run CI workflows including field intelligence coordination, pattern tag processing, news aggregation and AI‑assisted synthesis; leverage external vendors to scale coverage while maintaining quality; continuously improve efficiency. Asset Lifecycle Management:
Manage CI library in the sales enablement platform and track usage; gather feedback and improve based on adoption data; ensure sales can find assets during live calls. Responsibilities (continued)
Activate the Field & Enable Sales (30%):
Serve as first responder to field competitive questions, triage and respond within 24–48 hours; coordinate intelligence flow across cross‑functional teams; process weekly field intelligence using pattern tag workflows and AI‑assisted analysis. Bi‑Weekly Competitive Digest: Curate and publish an internal CI newsletter with concise, high‑signal content. Sales Enablement & Training: Present at bi‑monthly Global Sales Enablement calls; partner with Enablement to embed CI into onboarding and certification; deliver competitive sprint sessions for major deals. Intelligence Analysis & CI Operations (20%):
Pull and analyze win/loss data and AI outputs weekly; identify patterns and trends; maintain radar on Tier 2/3 competitors and flag threats; manage vendor relationships and internal CI tools; build monthly CI performance dashboards; support web and campaign updates for competitive pages in collaboration with Marketing. 5–7+ years in Product Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, or Sales Engineering in Cybersecurity or B2B SaaS Proven track record creating sales assets used by sales teams (battlecards, one‑pagers, objection handlers) Vendor management experience with external partners and deliverables Data fluent: analyze win/loss data and translate into actionable insights Hands‑on experience with sales enablement platforms (Highspot) and CRM (Salesforce) Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to Sales, Product and Marketing Operational excellence: track metrics, meet deadlines, manage workflows, continuously improve Bonus Qualifications
