Role Summary
Pharmaceutical Sales-Territory Manager - GI Specialty responsible for account-based selling to healthcare providers who prescribe and influence treatment for gastroenterology, building relationships with gastroenterology practices, infusion centers, and key hospital accounts, and driving adoption of Lilly therapies in the Louisville, KY GI1 territory. You will identify and develop relationships with advocacy groups, teaching institutions, influencers, and managed care organizations, and be a credible expert and resource for accounts. Responsibilities
Territory Management: Develops a strong understanding of territory and reimbursement landscape and utilizes business insights tools to analyze and adapt to business needs. Account Management: Navigate the healthcare environment to understand accounts and impact key stakeholders to become a trusted partner. Selling Skills / Customer Experience: Engage in dialogue with customers, actively listening and adapting to prompts throughout the call. Medical Integrity: Demonstrates learning agility to understand clinical information, product portfolio, and therapeutic marketplace; engages with every member of an account. Selling Skills: Promote the full product portfolio by planning for and engaging in patient-centered dialogue with customers; use selling model to identify appropriate patients. Execution / Results: Utilize business analytics to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals while adhering to internal policies and PhRMA code. Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with field-facing and internal peers to create a coordinated customer experience. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree. Required: Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no work sponsorship provided). Required: Professional certification or license required to perform this position if required by a specific state. Preferred: Two or more years of sales experience (pharmaceutical or non-pharmaceutical) after undergraduate degree. Preferred: Additional work experience or graduate degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, PharmD). Preferred: Account-based selling experience; ability to identify and engage staff in accounts. Preferred: Strong background navigating complex integrated health systems and understanding specialty pharmacy distribution; experience selling injectables/infusion therapies in complex reimbursement environments. Preferred: History of working with cross-functional partners; high learning agility; self-motivated and emotionally intelligent. Preferred: Must live within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
