Manages the Sierra Instruments scientific sales channel for the North American region towards the goal of meeting or exceeding the division’s sales and profitability objectives. Maximize sales volume, profitability, and market penetration of the business units’ markets through management, administration, and performance of sales activities. Ensures customer satisfaction and directs resources, as required, to remedy any identified customer concerns. Own the regional selling strategies; develop a strategy, plan, and follow-up to execute region-specific activity to grow sales and orders to outpace the market growth rate. Works directly with Application Engineer to identify and lead opportunities for business improvement. Maintain updated sales opportunities via CRM and provide frequent sales forecasts upon request. Travels with regional sales channel partners for skills assessment, mentoring, and training; and to remain current on customer issues. Manages the Sales Channel network to ensure both Sales Representatives and Distributors are properly trained and supported to maximize the opportunity for business growth. Make recommendations for Sale Channel network transitions as the need arises. Establish a network of strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including End Users, Distribution Channel Partners, and other market participants. Other Responsibilities

Supports regional trade shows, webinars and factory training events as required. Provides direct support for high profile projects and technical service issues as required. Maintains up-to-date reporting of sales activities along with analysis and reports on large long-term projects. Provides feedback to management regarding industry trends and customers’ requirements. Conducts training sessions; both internal and external. Provides market intelligence in the form of trip reports and/or presentations. Stays current on competitors’ offerings and contributes to competitive analysis by product. Provides meaningful input on the overall company sales strategy, product development and marketing. Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by the Scientific Sales Manager. On a daily basis perform required activities through the use of CRM software wherever possible. Qualifications

Travel requirements vary by region and time of year; 40%-50% overnight travel and occasional overseas travel is expected to support sales efforts, trade shows and management meetings. Ability to work independently. Authorized to work in the United States. Candidates must be fluent, both written and verbal, in English. Additional language skills are a strategic advantage. Preferred Qualifications

4-year college degree (with technical background) 5 years prior experience in a sales management role in a technical, consultative selling environment. The emphasis is on long term relationship building vs. “closing”. Sales leadership experience in an industrial instrument business. Commercial competence – pricing, sales channels, contract negotiations, and market analysis. Experience working in a multinational corporation. Background in gas flow instrumentation. Formally trained in consultative, strategic selling methodologies. Will prefer to use a phone as an initial path to connect with someone new as opposed to an email. When issues arise, will bring them forward in a well thought out, measured and data driven approach, and will offer potential solutions. Traits

Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 depending on location and experience
