Essential Functions:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed sales team, including regional managers and channel support roles.
- Establish a high‑performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear expectations, goals, and KPIs; conduct regular performance reviews and talent development plans.
- Recruit top sales talent, build succession plans, and ensure strong onboarding for new team members.
- Provide coaching on consultative selling, key account strategy, and channel management best practice.
- Develop and execute the global sales strategy with a strong focus on solidifying an existing North American network, as well as expanding and improving our sales channels in EMEA and Latin America.
Other Responsibilities:
- Translate organizational objectives into actionable regional and channel plans.
- Lead regular pipeline, forecast, and territory planning sessions to ensure alignment and performance predictability.
- Work closely with Marketing and Product teams to align campaigns, lead generation, and market positioning.
- Oversee and optimize a high‑performing network of independent manufacturer’s reps and distributors across key territories.
- Support regional team members in developing strong relationships with channel partners.
- Evaluate coverage gaps, recruit new agencies, and implement performance improvement plans when needed.
- Guide the sales team in developing strong end‑user, EPC, OEM, and integrator relationships.
- Provide executive presence during key customer meetings and strategic account negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform product and strategy decisions.
- Lead the optimization and day‑to‑day use of the company’s CRM system.
- Ensure the sales team consistently uses CRM tools for opportunity management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Create dashboards and analytics to support leadership visibility and decision‑making.
- Drive adoption of efficient sales processes and tools across the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7–10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in process instrumentation, measurement, or industrial automation.
- Proven success leading and coaching high‑performing sales teams.
- Experience managing and optimizing rep and distributor networks.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and enhance CRM systems to support growth.
- Strong understanding of industrial process applications and customer buying behavior.
- Experience working with global teams and customers, with a focus on North America.
- Willingness and ability to travel 25–50% as required.
- Leadership experience across multiple regions or continents prefered.
- Prior ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning a plus.
- Technical degree in engineering, industrial technology, or similar; MBA a plus.
Physical Demands:
- The employee may be required to travel up to 50%, locally, nationally and potentially internationally. Travel may involve overnight stays, air travel, driving personal or rented vehicles.
