Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join our Corporate Tax Solutions team. This role focuses on corporate income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (tax provision preparation and/or audit support). As a senior leader, you will manage multiple client engagements, serve as a primary client contact, mentor and develop teams, and contribute to business development initiatives. Success in this role is a key pathway toward Partner or Managing Director within the firm. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise multiple client service teams across corporate tax engagements Plan, execute, direct, and complete complex tax compliance, consulting, and planning projects across various industries Review complex federal and state corporate income tax returns and identify tax-saving opportunities Lead and review ASC 740 income tax provision engagements (preparation and/or audit support) Research and consult on complex tax matters, including federal, state, and international tax issues Manage engagement economics including realization, utilization, leverage, billing, and budgets Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and trusted client relationships Gain deep understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives Collaborate with internal specialists, including Washington National Tax Office (WNTO) Mentor, train, and develop staff; conduct performance and year-end reviews Support firm growth through business development, client expansion, and revenue generation Participate in marketing efforts, professional organizations, and industry or community events Adhere to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality Travel as required Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) CPA or active JD/active attorney license (required) Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in corporate tax compliance and/or tax consulting Strong experience with ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations Experience in public accounting or professional services preferred Strong analytical, technical, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work in a hybrid model and travel as needed Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Master’s degree in Taxation, LLM (Tax), or JD Recent experience with Top 20 public accounting firms Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) / ONESOURCE Income Tax (OIT) Exposure to state and local taxes (SALT), international taxation, and transfer pricing Demonstrated stability in employment (limited short-term job hopping) Work Model: Hybrid Minimum 3 days per week in office or at client site
