A mid-sized law firm located in downtown SF is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its Real Estate group. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
The Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including: Managing commercial real estate transactions from start to finish, including due diligence, closings, and post-closing tasks Ordering, reviewing, and analyzing title and survey documents and resolving related issues Reviewing and summarizing leases and transaction documents Preparing and maintaining transaction checklists, timelines, and closing materials Drafting and assisting with leases, SNDAs, estoppels, loan documents, UCC filings, and related correspondence Coordinating with title companies, escrow, lenders, and other parties to facilitate closings Managing signature collection and delivery of executed documents Preparing closing binders and overseeing post-closing document organization and distribution Assisting with entity formations and related documents, including operating agreements, consents, resolutions, and certificates Supporting finance-related matters such as loans, modifications, and associated title work Managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines are met Utilizing technology and online tools to improve efficiency and accuracy Training and mentoring new staff and attorneys as needed Assisting with general administrative and file management tasks Occasional involvement in zoning and land use matters Qualifications
Strong understanding of legal procedures, real estate documents, and governmental processes Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines Professional, clear, and courteous communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and database software Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic Education and Experience
Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program (or equivalent) required Five or more years of commercial real estate paralegal experience preferred Extensive experience with title review and legal research required Qualified applicants can send their resume to Norah at nmutuma@avatapartners.com.
