What You'll Do
* Account for coding and abstracting of patient encounters, including diagnostic and procedural information, significant reportable elements, and complications * Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement * Analyze medical records and identify documentation deficiencies * Assign codes for reimbursement; research and compliance with regulatory requirements utilizing guidelines * Research and facilitate a plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors * Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of financial and protected patient files * Physician credentialing * Serve as coding consultant to staff and providers
What We're Looking For:
* A high school diploma or equivalent * CPC, CCSP, RIT or similar certification required * Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations. * Availability for full-time hours (40/week) * Primary location(s): Appleton-Westhill Clinic
