What You'll Do

Account for coding and abstracting of patient encounters, including diagnostic and procedural information, significant reportable elements, and complications

Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement

Analyze medical records and identify documentation deficiencies

Assign codes for reimbursement; research and compliance with regulatory requirements utilizing guidelines

Research and facilitate a plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of financial and protected patient files

Physician credentialing

Serve as coding consultant to staff and providers

What We're Looking For:

A high school diploma or equivalent

CPC, CCSP, RIT or similar certification required

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.

Availability for full-time hours (40/week)
