Job Summary Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Leasing Agent with proven LIHTC experience to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leasing affordable housing units, ensuring full compliance with LIHTC regulations, and providing exceptional service to current and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full leasing process — from inquiry and application to move-in.
Verify applicant eligibility, income, and assets in accordance with LIHTC and HUD program requirements.
Maintain accurate and organized resident files for audits and compliance reviews.
Conduct property tours, market available units, and respond promptly to leasing inquiries.
Assist in preparing and renewing annual recertifications and compliance reports.
Collaborate with the Property Manager to maintain occupancy goals and regulatory compliance.
Provide excellent customer service to residents and promote a welcoming community environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in affordable housing leasing or property management.
Strong knowledge of LIHTC compliance, income certifications, and fair housing laws.
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, OneSite) preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; housing certification (e.g., HCCP, TCS, COS) a plus.
