Community Relationship Officer - San Luis Obispo or Ventura

JOB SUMMARY: The Community Relationship Officer will drive growth and visibility for BOTS. This individual will identify new business opportunities, foster relationships, coordinate and attend community events, and support deposit and lending activities with a focus on small business. The ideal candidate thrives in a relationship-driven environment, enjoys connecting with the community, and has a passion for helping others achieve their financial goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and referral relationships. • Increase visibility for BOTS through community events, sponsorships, professional organizations, and networking activities. • Drive deposit growth and support lending initiatives by referring prospects to appropriate teams. • Reinforce superior customer service through their example and internal partnerships. • Coordinate local events, seminars, and luncheons for existing and potential clients. • Participate in community affairs, business, and service organizations, including public speaking, and be actively involved in educating the public about the Bank\'s products and services. • Track and report on business development activities and outcomes. • Participate with senior officers as requested. • Complete other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Ability to work with specific data management software as required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and accounting and regulatory documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from regulatory, accounting, and outside loan review agencies. Ability to effectively present information to top management both verbally and in writing. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A bachelor\'s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four-year university, with a minimum of two college-level accounting courses, is preferred. A minimum of five years of related experience in underwriting business and real estate transactions. Must display a strong understanding of accounting principles and underwriting practices and be able to work independently and with a team.
