Construction Superintendent
Scott Humphrey Corporation, College Station, Texas, United States, 77840
Our client is hiring a Superintendent (or QC Manager) to support an upcoming semiconductor teaching lab / cleanroom project in College Station, TX. This is not a fabrication facility, but the building must meet semiconductor-grade cleanroom standards to support future equipment and instructional use.
While equipment installation is not part of the contract, this role is critical to ensuring the facility is built tool-ready, compliant, and aligned with cleanroom best practices from day one.
Project start is within the next couple of weeks.
What You’ll Be Doing
Oversee field execution for cleanroom and controlled-environment construction
Ensure cleanroom standards related to airflow, finishes, pressure, and tolerances are met and maintained
Coordinate with project management, trades, and inspectors to uphold quality expectations
Review and enforce QC processes related to cleanroom construction
Identify and proactively address issues that could impact future tool readiness or facility performance
Serve as a technical resource for cleanroom and semiconductor‑adjacent requirements
What Our Client Is Looking For
Strong cleanroom construction experience required
Semiconductor experience strongly preferred (fab, R&D, or tool‑adjacent environments)
Open to candidates with Superintendent or QC Manager backgrounds
Healthcare and/or higher education project experience strongly preferred
Deep understanding of quality control, sequencing, and finishes in sensitive environments
Ability to recognize downstream impacts even when equipment installation is out of scope
Why This Role Matters
Even as a teaching lab, this facility must perform like a semiconductor environment. This role helps ensure the building meets cleanroom performance expectations, avoids costly rework or future limitations, and is ready for future equipment and instructional use.
