
The Technical Development Team supports the development of employees and stakeholders to be technically advanced and agile, enabling their professional success while driving the business forward both today and for the future. Team members leverage a hybrid of to the diverse needs of employees in partnership with management, all while utilizing learning and development best practices. This position is responsible for project intake, assessment, design, development, and maintenance of training deliverables. It will require excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills to work with a variety of Subject Matter Experts, trainers, and the LMS Administrator. This role may serve as backup for the team’s Learning Management System administrator, facilitate training, or assist in simulation training as required.
Essential Capabilities and Responsibilities
Analyze learner needs and collaborate with business subject matter experts and learners to assess, design, and develop standard learning solutions to support successful execution of training
Conduct needs analysis interviews with client stakeholders on customization of new instructional design projects
Identify detailed learning objectives for each course based on business drivers and performance goals; map course content and learning activities to appropriate learning objectives
Analyze complex content source information to ensure design and development of instructional content consisting of screen text, graphics, animations, simulations, etc.
Manage editing of existing written documentation as needed to create unified and consistent support documents
Plan, design, research, write, and edit instructional materials including user guides and manuals, online help and documentation guides, tutorials, storyboards, scripts, course content (including simulations, play activities, case studies, and experiential activities), pre- and post-tests, and student and facilitator directions for blended learning solutions and e-learning for mobile or computer devices
Coordinate instructional design projects leveraging appropriate processes (including ADDIE) and learning and development best practices to ensure an effective learning experience for all audience members
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions, policies, and procedures; articulate detailed concepts in writing; and present information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences
Ability to coordinate across the organization to complete projects on time
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision
Ability to provide an excellent customer experience to both internal and external clients
Complete all other duties as assigned
Education / Experience / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design Technology or related field (required)
Certification or strong proficiency in Articulate, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite (required)
Proven project manager with a portfolio of outputs
Experience creating simulations and working with a simulator (strongly preferred)
Experience with Learning Management Systems (preferred)
Four years of relevant work experience required
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a personal computer and move intermittently throughout the workday
Strong sensory skills, including eyesight, hearing, dexterity, and color perception
Ability to remain alert and awake during the entire assigned shift
Travel required up to 10%, including potential out-of-state travel with overnight stays
