Summary: The overall objective of this position is to learn the Lechler product line, sales tools, systems, and customer accounts to facilitate growth with key customers. Frequent customer visits are essential to ensure a healthy and prosperous relationship development with our entire client base. In addition, this employee is goal-oriented with a desire to actively learn to help the Regional Sales team grow assigned territories. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work independently, manage accounts, and follow the companys Core Values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Trains with a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), traveling with them to clients 4-5 days a week. Cold calls a designated number of accounts in accordance with goals and metrics set by RSM or sales management. Updates accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, and any other relevant data in the companys CRM system on a periodic basis. Meets frequently with trainer and/or sales management to review progress. Employee will complete a phased training program that will encompass the entire first year of employment. Topics employee will be trained on (prior experience not required): Developing new accounts for Lechler products in the assigned territory. Manages and grows existing accounts. Manages key accounts with Regional Sales team. Reports sales activities to management: trip reports, expense reports, CRM database, competitors and their activities, shifts and trends in the market; per Lechler QMS standards. Establish buying cycles, assesses needs, and builds customer relationships. Generates inquiries, follows up, negotiates terms and conditions, and closes deals. Collaborates closely with applications engineers on sales proposals, market pricing, market conditions, and Lechler established guidelines. Assesses customers needs and selects optimum equipment from available options. Participates in the determination of market size and potential. Increases product and company brand awareness. Increases sales capture rate. Provides sales data to management for the purpose of forecasting sales activities. Evaluates and assesses the needs for local trade shows. Maintains the status of quoted projects and regularly updates CRM. Manages sales activities within set budget: travel, marketing, and samples. Qualifications

No direct sales experience required High school diploma or GED Associates or Bachelors degree in Business or Economics a plus Language Skills

Must be proficient in English and possess the ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret common scientific/technical literature, financial reports, and/or legal documents. Possess the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Possess the ability to effectively and clearly present information to customers and management. Possess the ability to read and interpret business related documents. Ability to speak, read, and communicate in Spanish and/or German is a plus. Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with fundamental mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inferences. Understand the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Possess the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability

Can identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Technology and Equipment

Microsoft Windows operating system CRM or related software Proficient with the latest Microsoft Office products Other Qualifications and Abilities

Frequent travel of 3-4 days a week is required, with occasional travel to Lechler, Inc. and occasional travel outside of the country to our Lechler affiliates. Physical Demands

Communicating through speaking and hearing. Sitting and using hands and fingers to handle or to feel objects. Standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms. Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds. Close visual inspection. Work Environment

The following work environment is typically encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. (Reasonable accommodation may be possible to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their essential functions.): The employee will occasionally be exposed to plant environment, such as steel mills, aluminum mills, coal-fired power plants or cement plants, hence, are required to follow all of the safety guidelines while performing the duties of this position. In addition, a driving record with proven safety performance is a must due to the extensive driving that is inherent with this position. The noise level in the plant environment may require hearing protection.
