Role Summary

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a hospital-based or integrated sites of care-based role focused on launching and selling innovative products in assigned institutional accounts, including IDNs and alternate infusion sites. The role includes educating clinicians on clinical benefits to facilitate formulary access and expand product utilization, while pulling through contracts and enabling account access to achieve business goals. Travel within the Arizona territory is required as needed to sustain key relationships and attend conferences and meetings. Responsibilities

Increase product access and sales by navigating institutional formulary approval processes and educating customers on appropriate product use. Secure placement on account protocols and ensure products are in EMR systems. Develop relationships with local infusion sites, LTACs, and home infusion companies. Develop territory and account plans to grow product utilization, formulary access, and the customer base. Understand interdependencies within accounts and align solutions, messaging, and stakeholders to maximize performance. Establish and maintain professional relationships with customer opinion leaders, physicians, medical staff, and pharmacies. Plan and implement hospital-oriented education forums in line with company policies. Partner with hospital treatment committees to include products on disease state protocols. Facilitate continuity of care for discharged patients via product inclusion on discharge protocols and reimbursement resources. Collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on needs, KOL touchpoints, formulary changes, and pull-through initiatives. Qualifications

Required: A Bachelor’s degree; minimum of 7 years of related pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or training experience; minimum of 3 years in an account selling role within hospital/account ecosystems; valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Preferred: Buy/Bill and Home Infusion experience; hospital experience in Acute Care, Infectious Disease, and/or Hemodialysis; ability to travel as needed to sustain key relationships and attend conferences/meetings. Skills

Proven track record of hospital-based sales; acute care or integrated sites of care experience. Ability to create alternate sites of care within the territory; understanding of selling in a buy-and-bill market. Experience launching new products or solutions in hospital/account settings; highly motivated, self-starter, and results-driven. Ability to work independently and in a team; strong project management and prioritization skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and learning; ability to work in a matrix environment and build diverse relationships. Strong technical product knowledge and ability to learn quickly; willingness to provide credentialing documentation as required by hospitals. Education

Bachelor’s degree is required. Additional Requirements

Exempt status; Field-based with frequent travel.
