Job Description The Regional Sales Manager – Federal Civilian (Department of State) is a significant driver of company revenue and growth. As an experienced and dynamic sales professional you’re responsible for leading and driving sales engagements. You are motivated to solve critical challenges facing our customer’s secure environment, connecting them with solutions for every stage of threat prevention. You’ll be required to meet and exceed your quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory plans targeting deployments of the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Security Platform. This is a unique opportunity for a close‑shooter with a go‑getter mentality to win business and market share by actively displacing competing technologies.

Palo Alto Networks is leading the charge in platformization, offering best‑in‑breed solutions that enable customers to build a truly zero‑trust security architecture and navigate critical transformations. To ensure our sales team is equipped to guide customers, we've developed FLIGHT, an immersive onboarding program. Flight blends virtual and in‑person learning at our headquarters, where new sales hires will participate in dynamic cohorts, fully dedicated to their training without customer distractions.

Responsibilities:

Drive and orchestrate complex sales cycles, working with internal partners to best serve customers.

Initiate long‑standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors.

Create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise‑wide deployments.

Understand the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs to position Palo Alto Networks effectively.

Engage a programmatic approach to demand generation, development, and expansion within your territory.

Leverage prospect stories to create a compelling value proposition with insights into value for that specific account.

Stay updated on industry news, trends, and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services.

Travel as necessary within your territory and to company‑wide meetings.

Qualifications Experience and knowledge of SaaS‑based architectures, ideally in a networking and/or security context.

Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners.

Ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle: uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new, white‑space territories and accounts.

Deep knowledge of U.S. Civilian Agencies.

Successful track record selling complex solutions.

Excellent time management, high levels of autonomy, self‑direction, competitiveness, rapid ramp‑up, and pride in exceeding production goals.

Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. The base salary (or base salary + commission target for sales) is expected to be within the posted range. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
