We are actively seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love!
This role’s primary responsibility will be to support Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts and coaching for site leadership and employees. The CIS is responsible for driving initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity. They will work directly with the CI Manager and closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Facilitating hands-on coaching of cross-functional teams in productivity efficiency and loss elimination (root cause analysis, Kaizen, PDCA) projects.
Tracking and reporting quantifiable KPIs including OEE, Waste Reduction, Line Efficiency Improvements, First Time Quality Pass Rate, Changeover Management and Productivity.
Assisting teams in identifying processes, workflows, systems, schedules, and other opportunities for improvement. Enlists the support of others in evaluating and prioritizing improvement projects based on potential gains, required effort and other business realities.
Supporting all areas of the organization in developing and maintaining meaningful metrics and understanding what they mean. Uses data in meetings or other events/materials and suggests ways to expand the reliance on good data.
Continually reinforcing the purpose of MDIs, and their value.
Conducting process observations, time studies, and data analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Helping develop and update Standard Work Instructions, visual management tools, and process documentation.
Maintaining continuous improvement implementation schedule for multiple projects and providing documentation that demonstrates the direct link between continuous improvement implementation and plant operations improvements. Communicates progress on initiatives.
Qualifications
Effectively communicate in English, in both verbal and written forms.
Associates degree in related field. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Six Sigma Certification highly preferred.
Minimum 2+ years continuous improvement experience in production and/or quality control environment.
Advanced computer skills using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), other programs such as Alchemy and OFS.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to resolve conflict, drive change management and project governance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
