We are currently seeking an Architectural Associate to join our Residential Team in our Sarasota, Florida office. This role is ideal for a motivated designer with 2–5 years of experience who is eager to contribute meaningfully to luxury residential projects while continuing to develop their technical and design skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
EXPECTATIONS
A degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline
Familiar with all phases of project deliverables
Basic knowledge of project design and construction documentation
Proficiency in BIM, CAD, Sketchup, and Microsoft
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving skills, resourceful, attention to detail, motivated to learn
Collaborative and professional work ethic
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meticulously prepare drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents including design sketches, renderings, BIM modelling, graphics, details, sections, elevations, and schedules
Exercise creative judgment and design application skills
Have a strong drive for developing presentations and a desire to participate in client meetings
Compile data and perform design computations, assist in production of amendments, addenda, and bulletins
Perform site analysis, calculations, and surveys of existing conditions and field measurements
Work alongside and understand the functional organization of the project team
Utilize your outstanding technical skills in Revit and other design application software
Complete fulfilling work and continue to learn along the way
Assist with coordination among team members and consultants
Prepare Construction Administration documentation under supervision of Architect or Senior Architect
Self-check work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and compile data for document compliance in accordance with MHK standards and checklists
