About the Role
We are currently searching for a Senior Architectural Associate with 10+ years of experience. This position is an on-site position in our Naples, FL office. Expected salary range to be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
Understands and consistently executes all aspects of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design. Coordinates project documentation execution, construction plans and details, ensuring quality control and completion on small and mid-scale projects in accordance with MHK standards and checklists. Responsible for technical BIM leadership, documentation coordination, and leading project team assignments. Lead coordination with consultants and constructability. Develop creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team. Evaluate and integrate engineering systems and implement code, accessibility, life-safety, and zoning analyses. Conducts and documents field observations to monitor progress of construction. Implement a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects within the scope of schedule and budget in an organized, timely, and consistent manner. Ability to serve as primary client contact upon request while effectively coordinating with team members, consultants, and contractors. Analyze product research and identify material selections. Take an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentations and prepare corresponding materials. Advanced understanding of planning, programming and design principles and methods. Understands and responds to the technical implications of design decisions. Prepares reports and specifications; reviews completed reports, plans, cost estimates and calculations. Take increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities. Empower junior staff and their growth. May manage and mentor staff as assigned. Foster an approachable environment with open communication within team and with designated team lead. Qualifications
A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline. 10+ years of experience. Required Skills
Experience in all phases and aspects of a project deliverable. Experienced with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems. Advanced knowledge of project design and construction documentation production. Highly skilled in Revit, CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving skills, organized attention to detail, willingness to mentor others. Collaborative and professional work ethic.
