Must possess professional knowledge of golf operations and maintenance to include at least three (3) years of experience.

Experience in design and maintenance of a golf course.

Active \"Class A\" member of the Professional Golfer's Association of America is preferred.

Ability to supervise, and communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.

Ability to manage retail pro shop and to promote merchandise and programs offered.

Knowledge of pertinent safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations, to include matters relating to chemicals, spray, and other agents.

Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred.

Serves as a role model for staff, providing outstanding customer service and decision making.

Assists Recreation Supervisor in planning, organizing, and executing community golf events.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, and the public.

Maintains the inventory of supplies and equipment in connection with the operation of the pro shop. Assists the Recreation Supervisor by leading staff in duties necessary for the proper upkeep and maintenance of the front desk and concession areas.

Maintains all necessary documentation for business, operations, program and staffing under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor including but not limited to staff certifications and training logs.

Provides program leadership by overseeing the implementation and performance of all golf programs.

Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required.

Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. A typical way to qualify is: a High School Diploma or equivalent or one (1) or more years of experience.

Licensure or Certification Requirements

Current American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain before employment required.

Valid and current Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract in order to meet criteria for insurability established by the City of Gahanna.
