Role Summary
Director, Knowledge & Literacy Lead to drive the enterprise-wide flow of AI insights across the organization. This role ensures that AI-related knowledge is curated, contextualized, and made accessible to inform strategic decision-making and accelerate confident adoption across R&D. The position focuses on knowledge architecture, strategic insight development, and internal storytelling. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical fluency in AI, a strong scientific background, and the ability to translate complex developments into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities
Executive Insight Development: Partner directly with the Chief Data Science Officer (CDSO) to develop high-impact executive briefings, strategic overviews, and thought leadership materials that synthesize emerging AI trends and their implications for R&D. AI Intelligence Translation: Monitor global AI advancements on a weekly basis and translate technical developments into strategic insights tailored to the needs of senior R&D leaders. Internal Innovation Storytelling: Collaborate with DSDH teams to identify, shape, and amplify internal AI tool success stories—crafting narratives that highlight their strategic value to R&D. Knowledge Architecture & Dissemination: Design and evolve a knowledge-sharing framework that ensures timely, structured, and scalable access to AI insights across the enterprise. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with scientific, technical, and business stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and deliver tailored, high-value content that supports AI literacy and adoption. Innovation in Communication: Leverage digital platforms and novel formats (e.g., interactive dashboards, visual storytelling, microlearning) to enhance the reach and resonance of AI insights. Qualifications
PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific, technical, or data science discipline. Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences, with at least 3 years in a strategic, consulting, or executive advisory capacity. Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, including generative AI, and their application in R&D. Proven ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. Strong storytelling and communication skills, with experience developing executive-level presentations and strategic narratives. Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with data science, digital health, and R&D teams. Experience with knowledge management systems, digital communication tools, and insight dissemination platforms. Skills
