Role Summary

Associate Strategic Pricing & Contracting Director leads pre-deal evaluation and contract development for assigned channels and accounts, overseeing pricing, negotiation, and contract terms to secure formulary access with sustainable profitability. The role partners with Market Access, Pricing, Legal, and cross-functional teams to develop business cases, forecast contract profitability, and drive data-driven pricing strategies for Novo Nordisk products across multiple therapeutic areas. Responsibilities

Pre-Deal: contribute to pre-deal modelling accuracy; develop forecasts for volume, market share, and net sales at the account level; determine pricing sensitivity and craft offers within Pricing Committee mandates Implement Net Pricing Strategy and determine optimal net prices to secure formulary access while meeting profitability targets Prepare Pricing Committee business cases and financial analyses; own deal evaluation and offer development; present to Pricing Committee and Pre-PC Provide updates on contract performance to Brand Teams and Senior Management; analyze impact on ARP/profitability; own financial assessment of aligned accounts Lead collaboration with Strategy team on information requests, scenario modelling, and ad hoc analyses; mentor SPC leadership team members Contract Development: author contract templates for legal review; draft, negotiate, and finalize contract language consistent with contracting strategy and regulatory guidelines Mitigate risk while maintaining market access; inform senior leadership of key contract risks; ensure timely contract execution Engage stakeholders on deal status; participate in cross-functional teams to improve decision-making speed and quality Contract Development: develop and execute Value Based Contracting (VBCs); collaborate with Market Access Innovation on VBC structure; ensure accurate pricing and product information across groups Train and mentor team members; forecast contracting events affecting company outlook; identify opportunities for performance and compliance improvements Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience may be substituted for degree Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in pricing, contracting, forecasting, financial modelling, and payer landscape; pharmaceutical experience preferred Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute strategies within deadlines Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other key platforms Strong communication and presentation skills for executive audiences Ability to manage multiple internal relationships across the business Demonstrated leadership skills Solid understanding of pharmaceutical contracting, distribution channels, and products Additional Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required This position is onsite in Plainsboro, NJ
