Overview
Christian Camps and Conferences Inc. is seeking a committed Christian adult interested in a unique and wonderful Food Service Opportunity.
This Full Time/Year Round position serves Moose River Outpost in Jackman, Maine during the summer season and The Brookwoods Conference Center in Alton, New Hampshire for the remainder of the year.
Seasonal Roles From May through September, serve as the Food Service Director for Moose River Outpost in Jackman, Maine. Moose River Outpost operates an eight-week Christian summer camp for teens. Following the summer season, Moose River Outpost hosts several weekend retreats in late summer and early fall. This engaging ministry is located on 7,000 beautiful acres and consists of incredible facilities and natural areas.
In late September, return to New Hampshire and join the Brookwoods Food Service Director in serving retreat groups from all over New England. The Brookwoods Conference Center serves approximately 7,000 retreat guests each year between September and May. Since many of our retreat groups consist of adults, our Food Service staff are able to exercise some creativity and diversity in menu planning.
Reports To This position reports to the Director of Moose River Outpost in the summer and the Brookwoods Conference Center Food Service Director during the conference season.
Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this role include:
menu planning
inventory management
ordering
cooking
staff training
management and evaluation
maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
The primary goal is to serve Christ and encourage spiritual transformation in the lives of staff and campers.
Compensation and Benefits In addition to a competitive salary, the compensation package includes insurance, a 401K, summer housing, and basic utilities. On-site housing in New Hampshire and Maine is available.
