The

Engagement & Communications Specialist

supports company-wide initiatives that improve how employees experience onboarding, communication, learning, and engagement. This role is highly people-facing and execution-focused, partnering across the organization to bring programs and communications to life.

The Engagement & Communications Specialist works closely with the Director of Employee & Customer Experience to execute projects related to onboarding, internal communications, learning & development, and employee engagement.

This position is highly cross-functional, fast-paced, and requires exceptional communication, organization, and detail orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Experience (EX)

Coordinate and facilitate end-to-end onboarding for new employees, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience. Manage established EX programs (engagement initiatives, recognition programs, feedback cadences, etc.). Help plan and execute events, initiatives, and recognition efforts. Communications & Internal Marketing

Create branded internal communications using Canva and PowerPoint. Prepare, schedule, and distribute newsletters, updates, video scripts, and leadership messages. Manage and update internal communication channels (SharePoint, Teams, company news, etc.). Manage Tolin's social media and employer-branded content. Learning & Development Support

Coordinate logistics for training sessions (scheduling, communication, materials, attendance tracking). Assist with maintaining training calendars, content libraries, and course documentation. Prepare templates, drafts, and supporting resources for L&D initiatives. Customer Experience (CX)

Support in the development of our Customer Experience program. Track CX workflows. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build strong working relationships with technicians, office staff, managers, executives, HR, and other teams. Act as a connector across the organization to ensure initiatives are well understood and well executed. Compensation & Benefits:

Average Starting Salary: $65 - $80k. The annual salary is based off of a 40 hour work week/2,080 hours per year. The actual rate is based on hours worked.

This role is nonexempt/hourly . Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, HR, Marketing, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of experience in employee engagement, communications, HR coordination, L&D coordination, marketing, or related operational support role. High comfort level interacting with employees at all levels of the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Canva or similar design tools. Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Elite written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience coordinating onboarding, employee programs, or internal communications. Experience with survey platforms such as Qualtrics. Background in social media management or internal/external content creation. Experience supporting or coordinating training programs. Minimum Qualifications:

Over 18 years of age High School diploma or GED Strong written and verbal English skills Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing
