About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Senior Loan Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and closing various types of loans, including business, consumer, commercial, and real estate secured loans. You will ensure all loan requirements align with approval conditions and our bank's policies and procedures.
What You'll Do
Review approved credit authorizations and gather all necessary documentation for loan closing, including commitment letters, appraisals, inspection reports, and legal documentation.
Transmit complete loan packages to legal documentation staff or outside counsel, assisting with the closing process and communicating effectively with all involved parties.
Review draft loan documents before closing to ensure accuracy in the closing statement and compliance with all legal conditions.
Prepare all required bank forms and ensure compliance with our loan policies throughout the closing process.
Track the booking of loans, ensuring all waivers are properly executed and proceeds are disbursed accurately.
Organize files and ensure bar-coding of loan and credit documents as necessary.
Follow up on outstanding document items post-closing, particularly if handled by external counsel.
Manage the administrative aspects of loan relationships, including compliance with flood regulations and inquiries from Relationship Managers.
Stay informed about loan compliance issues and disseminate important information to the department.
Collaborate with other departments to address operational challenges effectively.
Assist in training team members on compliance and closing procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate reports as required by the department.
Process revolving line of credit advances and ensure related accounting entries are accurate.
Prepare Loan Input Sheets and conduct quality control checks on documentation to ensure proper loan booking.
Maintain credit files according to bank standards when necessary.
What You Bring 5-7 years of experience in commercial and consumer loan processing along with exceptional customer service skills. Strong knowledge of consumer, commercial, and mortgage loan structures and documentation. Understanding of loan accounting matters. Ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and execute assignments independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A positive, team-oriented attitude and a capability to work independently with minimal supervision. Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
