Internal Communications Specialist

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Internal Communications Specialist position! This is a 10+ month contract opportunity and will be onsite in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing: Serve as a lead content creator for internal messaging within a banking environment, developing clear and engaging communications for emails, meetings, and marketing materials related to IT projects. Create polished, professional PowerPoint presentations that include data visualizations, graphics, and concise, visually compelling messaging tailored for internal audiences. Collaborate with business line management to plan and deliver internal communication strategies supporting change management, employee engagement, and strategic initiatives. Manage and update the divisional intranet site, including content planning, design, and publishing. Evaluate new communication channels and tools for potential implementation to improve internal communication effectiveness. May serve as a team lead, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology teams. What You'll Need to Have:
5+ years of experience in communications or marketing roles. Hands-on experience in internal messaging content creation. Strong writing skills, able to translate technical jargon to a non-technical audience. Strong visual communication skills, including PowerPoint, to create professional, clear, concise content using graphs, images, and other creative means to communicate data. Autonomous, self-driven project member who collaborates well. Prior experience in a similar communications specialist or content development role is strongly preferred.
Pay Range:
$35-$45+/hr
