REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager – Strategy & Planning in Winston-Salem, NC.
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded professional to join as Senior Manager – Strategy & Planning (Competitive Intelligence), responsible for developing and interpreting financial models that uncover key performance drivers and highlight the strategic objectives of competitor organizations. This role will blend deep financial acumen with broad macroeconomic analysis to contextualize market dynamics and competitive positioning. The ideal candidate will excel at managing relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders, translating complex insights into clear, actionable guidance for the Reynolds organization, and collaborating effectively across diverse teams. Given the incomplete and often ambiguous nature of competitive data, this individual must be comfortable navigating uncertainty, applying sound judgment, and piecing together disparate information to produce rigorous, insight‑rich assessments that shape strategic decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary individual responsible for updating & maintaining competitor financial models based on intel gathered from primary & secondary sources
Key stakeholder management across various internal teams to ensure alignment and maximize commercial impact of competitive intelligence
Leverage presentation and interpersonal skills to translate financial modelling analysis into clear, actionable insights
Support commercial forum agenda (e.g. CPM/P&E/DRM/SOP) by performing ad-hoc analysis & ensuring latest intel is disseminated clearly, timely and at the right level
Update pre-reads & other decks for strategic forums and related exercises (e.g. wargaming)
Monitor macroeconomic trends and disseminate clear views to internal audiences to better inform drivers of our consumer-centric business
Serve the Competitive Intelligence & Analysis team as a key member by synthesizing external & internal information and disseminating the key findings to the team
What are we looking for? / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area. CFA, MBA, CPA or other relevant financial credentials are preferred.
3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, or related field.
Strong commercial acumen with strategic and analytical thinking skills.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and capacity for innovation
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work under minimal supervision; must be a self-starter
Ability to deliver against tight deadlines
