What you’ll do: The Brass Tacks Concept Development & Market Positioning Refine the restaurant’s overall concept to align with target market opportunities and the brand’s identity as a PNW Tavern & Grill. Identify and define The Jetty’s key attributes — what makes it special and how to highlight those features through design, programming, and marketing. Conduct on-site visits to assess the property, meet with leadership, and review current P&L statements. Evaluate physical space and guest flow, including patio and dining room layout; recommend changes to enhance atmosphere, guest comfort, and visual depth. Assess the feasibility and programming potential of the Tavern area as a standalone yet integrated identity (e.g., menu focus, tagline, signage, and brand personality). Market Research & Competitive Analysis Conduct a market study of the surrounding area, referencing available data if needed. Analyze local competition, including nearby restaurants, local breweries, and other key players. Review demographic data to define target audience segments (e.g., college-age, local professionals, travelers). Evaluate potential partnerships with community organizations and corporate accounts (e.g., NVA, Boeing). Menu & Beverage Program Evaluation Provide recommendations for refining the menu to reflect better a PNW Tavern & Grill concept, including adding premium or locally inspired items (e.g., oysters, elevated bar snacks). Assess the tavern menu and bar program to ensure variety, consistency, and profitability. Identify opportunities for a “proof of concept” menu activation (e.g., Taco Tuesdays or other thematic events) to test guest engagement and drive traffic. Marketing & Branding Plan Develop a 2026 marketing and social media plan tailored to The Jetty, including concept positioning, messaging, and content pillars. Oversee creation of marketing assets and branded materials, including signage, umbrellas, and patio activations that reflect the property’s personality. Create a strategy for increasing brand visibility and community engagement (e.g., events, influencer outreach, partnerships). Define tagline options and tone of voice aligned with the updated concept. Events Program & Revenue Development Evaluate the existing events program to identify opportunities for increased event driven revenue. Conduct site visits with planners and provide recommendations for packaging and selling activations to group clients (corporate, hotel, or local).
