Group Marketing Director (Platform & Growth)

About 3LED Group 3LED Group is a growing, vertically integrated lighting and photonics platform with multiple operating companies, including Fusion Optix, LEDdynamics, LEDSupply, Prolume Lighting, and Xico Lighting. We design and manufacture optical systems, LED engines, drivers, and architectural lighting products serving OEM, specification, and commercial markets.
We are in an active builder phase—strengthening platforms, systems, and operating discipline across the group while continuing to grow organically and through acquisition.
Role Overview This is
not a traditional marketing director role .
The Group Marketing Director owns the
design, governance, and performance of 3LED’s commercial marketing platforms
across multiple operating companies. This role sits at the intersection of
marketing, ecommerce, CRM, and general management .
You will act as a
peer to General Managers , designing how marketing systems translate into pipeline quality, conversion, and revenue—while building a small, high-leverage central marketing studio that supports the brands.
If you enjoy building systems from scratch, operating in ambiguity, and turning infrastructure into measurable commercial outcomes, this role is likely a strong fit.
What You Will Own
Commercial Platform Design & Governance
Own 3LED’s
marketing, ecommerce, and CRM platforms
as commercial backbones—not just tools
Define what is centralized vs. business-specific across brands
Establish governance, standards, KPIs, and data discipline (with Salesforce as a core system)
Design build → standardize → handoff models so operating companies can own execution over time
Ecommerce & Digital Growth
Lead the initial build and scaling of ecommerce capabilities for Fusion Optix and LEDdynamics
Ensure ecommerce is integrated with CRM, pricing, inventory, and sales workflows
Define success metrics beyond traffic (conversion quality, margin contribution, pipeline signal)
Support the revitalization of LEDSupply’s digital and ecommerce positioning
Central Marketing Studio Leadership
Build and lead a small central team (3–4 people) including:
Brand & campaign leadership
Digital / ecommerce systems
UX / design systems
Ensure the studio delivers leverage across brands without becoming bureaucratic
Personally get hands-on early, then step back as systems stabilize
Brand Architecture & Market Clarity
Govern brand architecture across the group (parent brand + operating companies)
Ensure clarity, credibility, and consistency across specifiers, partners, and customers
Elevate technical storytelling and value articulation—especially in specification-driven markets
Focus on
brand as a commercial asset , not just creative expression
GM & Sales Partnership
Act as a thought partner to GMs on pipeline development, positioning, and growth strategy
Align marketing systems tightly with sales workflows and accountability
Bring a revenue, margin, and operational lens—not just marketing outputs
Who This Role Is For
You have owned
marketing systems that directly supported revenue and pipeline
You’ve operated close to GMs or held P&L / GM-adjacent responsibility
You are comfortable building platforms before teams
You enjoy working with small, senior teams and getting into the weeds when needed
You think in systems, sequencing, and handoffs—not just campaigns
Who This Role Is Not For
Brand-only or communications-only leaders
Campaign or demand-generation specialists without platform ownership
Enterprise transformation leaders who prefer mature infrastructure and large teams
Agency-first or consulting-only profiles
Experience & Background
10+ years in B2B marketing, commercial growth, or related leadership roles
Experience owning or governing CRM (Salesforce strongly preferred) and ecommerce platforms
Demonstrated success building marketing systems in complex or multi-business environments
Strong judgment in technical, specification-driven, or industrial markets preferred
Comfort operating in a hands-on, builder-stage company
