We are looking for an
organized, flexible, and endlessly positive Theatre Director
with a knack for reigning in the chaos and finding ways for everyone to shine. At K&E, theatre isn’t about perfection. It’s about play, exploration, and belonging. We want our shows to be fun to watch, but even more fun to participate in! What You’ll Do
Partner with the
Theatre Assistant
and
AV Tech Specialist
to run a well-oiled, wildly fun theatre program Direct and produce the
Counselor Show
(three songs, some comedy, and light choreo) Select the
Junior Camp
and
Senior Camp Musicals , hold auditions, cast roles, and lead rehearsals during each camp day’s two long periods Run several daily short-period theatre activities for all ages like
improv games
or
glee club Design, order, organize, and maintain costumes, props, and sets Collaborate with the
Music Specialist
to produce
Hollowpalooza
(our four-hour camp music festival!) Collaborate with the
Dance Specialist
to produce the
Dance Showcase Create promotional materials for productions, such as posters, playbills, and headshots, with support from our
Media Team Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Experience directing full-length children’s or youth musicals Ability to read music and play an accompanying instrument (piano or guitar a plus) About Camps K&E
We are a traditional, long-session brother-sister overnight camp situated beside the gorgeous Eagle Pond. We’re two hours from Boston, but our campers (ages 7-15) and staff come from all over the world. Campers and staff also embark on trips to local attractions, mountains, and beaches throughout the summer.
