About the Role
The organization seeks a dynamic Senior Vice President of Reimbursement Strategy to lead initiatives that enhance patient access to cutting-edge clinical laboratory services. In this pivotal role, you will research and analyze reimbursement issues impacting various government agencies, commercial health plans, and third-party organizations. You will act as a subject matter expert on Medicare coverage and reimbursement, facilitating agreement among member companies, and overseeing the association's reimbursement working groups.
Your responsibilities will also include cultivating strong relationships with member reimbursement experts, collaborating with the Board of Directors, and prioritizing relationships with policymakers and key stakeholders. Candidates for the Senior Vice President position should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in government relations, particularly within public health, healthcare institutions, or association management, along with at least 2 years of leadership experience in project teams.
A deep understanding of Medicare payment and coverage policies is crucial, as well as the ability to engage effectively with state and private payers. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to outstanding member service. You should excel in collaborating with diverse stakeholders and have a strategic mindset for analyzing and communicating reimbursement policies.
