What You’ll Do

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Transportation Department, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality services. Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FTA, MDOT, funder, and licensing requirements. Develop, manage, and oversee the annual operating and capital budgets, including financial forecasting and variance management. Lead department-wide performance management through review of operational metrics, safety indicators, and customer satisfaction trends. Drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility. Build, equip, and develop transportation leadership and management staff through coaching, succession planning, and performance management. Oversee vehicle management, fleet safety, maintenance coordination, and long-term capital planning within approved budgets. Manage transportation grants and contracts, ensuring timely applications, accurate reporting, and full compliance with funder requirements. Represent Hope Network with funders, regulatory agencies, community partners, and external stakeholders with professionalism and accountability. Collaborate with internal departments to strengthen operational alignment, improve efficiencies, and support organizational growth. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field required Minimum of five (5) years of experience in transportation operations, with progressive leadership responsibility required. Demonstrated experience with annual budget development and financial management. Experience with FTA Section 5310 programs, transportation grants, or contract management preferred. Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage audiences from frontline staff to executive leadership and external partners. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per Hope Network policy.
