
A nationally recognized construction firm is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its office in Irvine, California. This role will be responsible for managing detailed cost estimates, subcontractor bid evaluations, and budget forecasting for large-scale commercial and industrial projects. The Senior Estimator will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and senior leadership to deliver accurate proposals and support preconstruction activities from early design through project handoff. Salary Range:
$180,000 - $190,000 / year DOE
Senior Estimator Responsibilities
Prepare and present detailed project estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing Define scopes of work, solicit subcontractor bids, and manage evaluations Support preconstruction meetings and client presentations Conduct value engineering exercises and cost analysis Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout design phases Forecast budgets and track costs against actuals through construction Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Senior Estimator Requirements
10+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry Must be a GC Experience with industrial, health care, pharma/lab required Experience with similar-sized projects (about $40M) Proficiency in financial risk management Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, and On-Screen Takeoff Strong technical knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction methods Excellent communication and organizational skills Benefits:
