You will collaborate closely with data engineering, product managers, and data scientists to uphold our data's consistency, quality, and scalability.
Essential Qualifications:
4-6+ years in data-centric positions (analytics engineering, data engineering, data architecture, or technical product management)
Firsthand experience with cloud billing data from AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proven experience in building or maintaining data models for analytics and reporting
A history of overcoming complex data quality or normalization challenges
Technical Skills:
Exceptional SQL skills - Proficient in crafting intricate queries, diagnosing data quality issues, and understanding query performance
Data modeling expertise - Strong grasp of dimensional modeling, normalization, and schema design for analytics

Strategic & Business Acumen:
Strategic mindset - Capacity to envision a multi-year data architecture
Problem decomposition - Ability to break down ambiguous issues into actionable technical requirements
Business insight - Understanding the impact of data decisions on customer value and business results; prioritizing effectively
Requirements translation - Skill in converting business needs into precise data model specifications
Collaboration Skills:
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data science teams
Effective communication - Capable of explaining complex data concepts to non-technical audiences and creating clear documentation
Influencing skills - Capacity to drive technical decisions and foster alignment across teams
Comfort with uncertainty - Ability to excel in scenarios with ambiguous ownership boundaries
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or observability platforms
Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments and unified AWS/Azure/GCP data
Familiarity with data quality monitoring and data testing frameworks
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of the FOCUS (FinOps Cost and Usage Specification) schema
Experience in AI/ML data pipelines
Background in FinOps practices or FinOps Foundation certification
Understanding cloud APIs and billing APIs (such as AWS Cost Explorer API, Azure Consumption API, GCP Cloud Billing API)
Awareness of CSP government cloud billing structures
