PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
Hypothesis / Scope Development
Engage directly with Private Equity and client executive teams to gather pertinent information.
Identify critical organizational challenges and outline actionable pathways for clients.
Scrutinize analyses and conclusions to ensure they are comprehensive and factually accurate.
Pinpoint gaps in analysis that may prevent successful solution implementation.
Utilize industry knowledge to discern business drivers and challenges.
Understand value creation sources pertinent to the industry and company.
Project Management and Implementation
Create intricate business improvement strategies and independently manage execution.
Oversee Private Equity-focused initiatives including Interim Management Roles, Liquidity Management, Business Transformation, Performance Improvement, and Accounting Remediation.
Manage client expectations proactively while nurturing long-term relationships.
Convince senior management and board members of essential business priorities and gain their support for implementation.
Anticipate risks and obstacles, continuously reassessing issues as strategies evolve.
Identify financial and accounting weaknesses and recommend remediation plans.
Leadership
Apply industry expertise to develop innovative solutions.
Assume accountability for client relationship management and team outcomes.
Instill a sense of urgency regarding critical issues among clients and team members.
Allocate appropriate resources, eliminate barriers, and monitor project results.
Financial Acumen
Significant experience as a CFO with a proven track record of adding business value.
Background in Controllership, Finance, and Accounting Advisory Services.
ACCREDITATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution focusing on relevant areas (accounting, finance, economics) preferred.
12+ years of experience in Accounting / Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
Experience as CFO in Private Equity-backed portfolio companies preferred.
Proven track record in successfully delivering complex projects and managing comprehensive performance improvement initiatives.
Strong capability in understanding financial models, data analytics, and presentation skills.
CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master's Degree is preferred but not required.
The salary range is $175,000-$275,000 annually, depending on various factors including education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' comprehensive benefits package.
