AMGSpecialty Hospital - Muncie Campus is seeking a Full Time Director of Quality

, RN.

The Director of Quality/Infection Control is a qualifiedRegistered Nurse (RN) with knowledge of CDC guidelines and definitions of healthcareassociated infections (HAIs), federal and state regulations. He/She is responsible for the identification,investigation, reporting, prevention and control of healthcare associatedinfections (HAIs) among patients and personnel. By authority of the Infection Control Committee, she/he may institutecollection of cultures and initiate appropriate isolation precautions. She/He is responsible for assisting within-service programs related to infection prevention and control. Concerning Employee Health, he/she isresponsible for attending to all employee work related injuries and recommendingappropriate action, as well as communicating with the risk manager any trendsin the workplace. He/she is alsoresponsible for pre-employment medical screening tests, as well as annualrecurring screens. Also, he/she servesas a liaison to the worker's compensation carrier for our facility. He/she is responsible for development andimplementation of the hospital's Utilization Review plan. This position requires travel between Muncie and Greenfield.

Job Requirements Current Indiana Registered Nurse Licensure

Required Quality, Infection Control experience preferred Minimum three (3) years experience in a supervisory position in healthcare or one (1) to three (3) years in infection control. Member of the Association of Practitioners of Infection Control and Epidemiology Working knowledge of microbiology, Epidemiology, infectious disease, aseptic techniques and current practices Requires travel between Muncie and Greenfield. Current BLS Certification A minimum of one-year experience in utilization review Demonstrated leadership and management abilitywith a minimum of two-four years' experience in nursing administration. Able to communicate effectively in English, bothverbally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge.
