We are currently seeking a Steel Estimator. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in estimating various steel erection and miscellaneous steel projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong estimation skills and experience in the metal fabrication and erection industry.
Job Title: Steel Estimator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Benefits: Medical, Paid Time-offs, 401k
Responsibilities
Reviews project plans and provides estimates. Review contracts to make any revision of the scope of work Able to read Structural and Architectural drawings and Prepare accurate take-offs of material, shop, and field hours. Create Job files, complete required bid forms and scope of work from General Contractors, and type and send out proposals. Estimates small and large projects. Estimates multiple projects with deadlines, following up after bid submission Must be able to work diligently and meet deadlines. Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in preparing detailed Steel Erection and Miscellaneous Metals proposals Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and installation Good communication skills and diligence in following up with customers Proficient in using different estimating software
