As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for New Business Development as well as the management of existing accounts. The ideal candidate must have structural knowledge of electric motors and controls. Also, the ideal candidate must have a proven track record in excelling in identifying customer needs and building solid business relationships./ppJob Description/ppResponsibilities Duties/pulliMaintain and expand existing business with customer accounts/liliDevelop and implement territory sales plan and strategy for growth that takes into consideration and is consistent with divisions direction and growth initiatives./liliTarget and develop new customers within the territory as aligned with the divisions growth strategies and added to the territory plan./liliCreate relationships with the principal key accounts that will lead them to work with Nidec on future programs/liliCreate a database of customer knowledge that will help Nidec build a sales strategy to meet current and future customer needs/liliWork with the marketing team to manage sales forecasts and resolve commercial issues with key customer accounts/liliUnderstand all aspects and maintain a comprehensive profile of all customers, distributors, and OEMs within territory and develop action-oriented plan to grow./liliUnderstand what it takes to sell through territorys distributors with the objective of having them act as an extension of our sales team and incorporate into the territory plan./liliProvide service and support to territorys account base and follow through to completion on all customer requests./liliCoordinate and lead all customer visits and meetings./liliMaintain detailed competitive files, including, but not limited to, information pertaining to product, policies and strategies./liliUnderstand who represents our competitors in territory and maintain an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses./liliInterface between Nidec personnel, customers, distributors, outside salespersons, and OEMs./liliAssist with quotes and keep the customer informed as to the progress of their orders./li/ulpRequired Qualifications/pulliBachelor of Science in Engineering discipline or Business Administration./liliMinimum of two (2) years of experience selling electric motors and controls./liliStrong math aptitude/liliStrong attention to detail and customer focused./liliAbility to effectively manage time and resources, being an analytical thinker/ problem solver, highly organized as well as being accountable are desirable./liliExcellent customer relationship management. Ability to recognize customer needs and emerging trends./liliDemonstrated ability to develop high level customer relationships within the strategic accounts./liliProven sales track record of excellent management of major accounts within a team./liliDemonstrated business acumen to meet revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction objectives./liliStrong sales leadership skills that enable team participation and contribution to the end goal./liliStrong project management skills.
