Manager - Marketing and Communications
The Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF) makes a quality elementary education accessible to all children, regardless of faith, by providing need-based scholarships to attend faith-based and private elementary schools throughout the footprint of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. TTEF also is the development and marketing arm for two Catholic elementary schools, St. Cecilia School & Academy and St. Louis Catholic Academy (Archdiocesan Elementary Schools - AES). Job Summary
The Communications Manager leads mission-driven storytelling for the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation and AES Schools, engaging donors and stakeholders through compelling narratives that advance scholarship support for parochial and private schools. Working closely with the advancement and scholarship teams, this role promotes the mission, programs, events, and student and alumni achievements of AES and TTEF, and oversees internal and external communications across all channels. Job Responsibilities
The Communications Manager is responsible for: Offering creative opportunities to enhance marketing efforts that promote the missions of TTEF and the AES schools by visiting schools and engaging donors, students and other stakeholders. Producing digital and print content for key publications, including the TTEF Annual Report, AES newsletters, impact reports, and donor stewardship materials. Managing the development and distribution of TTEF & AES electronic communications. Overseeing the design and production of advancement and scholarship materials, including invitations, advertisements, and customized donor communications. Creating content in partnership with the marketing team at the State Treasurer's Office to promote MOScholars tax credits and scholarship awards. Providing copywriting support for advancement, and scholarship teams, including appeals, family communications, and event materials. Creating and curating content for TTEF social media channels. Developing event marketing materials and collateral in collaboration with the Executive Director, Senior Director of Advancement, and Director of Donor Engagement. Maintaining and managing the annual communications calendar for TTEF and AES Schools. Tracking performance of development communications (email, campaigns, donor response, engagement metrics). Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's Degree, preferable in Marketing, Journalism or Communications (or equivalent experience). 2+ years relevant marketing experience, digital and print, in the nonprofit or for-profit sector. An understanding of nonprofit fundraising and primary/secondary education a plus. Excellent storyteller, with the ability to engage various constituencies to elicit powerful testimonials. Creative graphic design and photography skills a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Detail oriented, flexible and willing to participate in all aspects of TTEF.
