Job Title: Executive Director of Freight Forwarding (Americas)

Location: Duluth GA * Office will be relocating to Buckhead GA over the next 12 months.
Supervises: Freight Forwarding Team including 2PL, 3PL, Maquiladora, and Inland Forwarding
Commercial sales experience is a must have

Position Summary Our client is seeking an Executive Director that will oversee the entire Freight Forwarding (FF) business across the Americas-including North, Central, and South America-while operating within a global scope directly connected to HQ. This role drives business expansion, commercial sales, organizational leadership, P/L performance, and global network integration, while aligning closely with HQ's strategic governances.
Role Overview The Executive Director leads Freight Forwarding business across the Americas, with full responsibility for growth strategy, P&L performance, organizational leadership, and global network integration across ocean, air, and inland freight.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and scale Freight Forwarding operations and commercial sales across the Americas in alignment with global strategy and HQ directives.
Drive regional and global business expansion, global account development, and long-term customer partnerships.
Oversee pricing strategy and carrier negotiations across ocean, air, and inland transportation.
Support and enable sales execution, including participation in high-value customer engagements and executive negotiations.
Own operational performance, including service quality, cost efficiency, compliance, and P&L results.
Collaborate closely with HQ, the CEC/EC, and global FF teams to ensure unified strategy and execution.
Build and develop a high-performing organization through talent development, succession planning, and cultural leadership.
Deliver executive-level reporting, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to HQ leadership.
Represent company externally with key customers, industry partners, and professional forums.
Profile Sought
Senior freight forwarding executive with broad experience across ocean, air, and inland logistics.
Proven leader of multi-country or multi-region operations with strong P&L accountability.
Demonstrated success in global account development, carrier negotiations, and network expansion.
Comfortable operating within a structured global governance model and collaborating with HQ-based leadership.
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage customers, partners, and internal stakeholders at the highest level.
Must have commercial sales experience
Education
Bachelors Degree required
Preferred:
Experience in supporting or scaling logistics for electrified or alternative-fuel commercial vehicles.
Previous leadership in a multinational or global logistics provider environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $280k to $290k. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
