The Ocular Surgery Account Manager (OSAM) is responsible for growing business with Harrow-approved products, reporting to the National Sales Director, Ocular Surgery. The candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic ophthalmic surgery environment. Sales objectives are achieved through consultation and value-based communication with ophthalmologists, surgery centers, and staff on the use and advantages of Harrow peri-operative products. Experience in peri-operative therapies, physician office and ASC relationships, buy-and-bill sales, and working in a collaborative matrix environment is preferred. Job Summary

Requires strong business acumen, proactive communication, and the ability to manage in a changing surgical environment. Core Responsibilities
Takes ownership to meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue and product goals Communicate complex clinical information to ophthalmic surgeons, billers, and administration in both the surgeon’s office and ASC Assess local dynamics to inform area business growth acceleration plans Understand reimbursement concepts related to buy and bill Develop physician and ASC staff relationships within the assigned geography Utilize internal resources when developing quarterly action plans or handling problem accounts Provide weekly new business forecasts and updates Record all sales activity in CRM Maintain professional knowledge of Harrow surgical peri-operative products Collaborate with internal departments and peers Act with urgency in customer care and follow up Travel throughout the assigned geography on a routine basis Use Salesforce CRM Follow industry and company policies and regulatory requirements Manage expenses ethically and responsibly Be resourceful in finding available resources to achieve success Serve as liaison for customer complaints or issues with continual follow-up Submit required reports, including monthly expense reports, on time Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Outlook Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field 3+ years of successful ophthalmology sales experience with buy-and-bill sales and/or ophthalmic medical device sales preferred Ability to build, develop, and foster longstanding relationships with customers Ability to absorb product and practice information quickly and offer resonant solutions Experience executing strategic and targeted business plans Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of physician decision-making regarding patient care for various therapies Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills Independent judgment and initiative Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and adjust priorities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proficiency with Salesforce CRM Position Type
