Seeking an experienced and technically proficient Sales Manager to lead sales efforts, develop new business, and manage key client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining and an understanding of the casting industry. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to provide technical solutions, prepare accurate quotes for castings and machined components, and drive revenue growth in industries such as heavy truck, agriculture, automotive and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Actively prospect and acquire new clients.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client sites to build brand presence.

Consult with client engineers to understand project requirements, blueprints, and material specifications.

Manage the Request for Quote (RFQ) process, ensuring timely and accurate proposals.

Work closely with Engineering, Estimating, and Production teams to ensure technical feasibility, optimized machining processes, and accurate pricing for cast components.

Review customer drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to identify potential issues and provide value-engineered alternatives.

Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; provide regular reports on sales pipeline and performance metrics.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry demands to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Lead, mentor, and coach sales representatives and customer service staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

5+ years of successful technical sales experience in manufacturing, specifically CNC machining, casting, or foundry sectors.

Deep understanding of machining processes, casting materials, and tolerances.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints, drawings, and CAD data.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience in the industry.

Experience with CRM software and ERP systems.

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to travel to client sites and industry events (approx. 15-30%).
