
The Tax Analyst supports corporate tax compliance with a primary focus on preparing federal, state, and city income and franchise tax returns. This role is also responsible for assisting with consolidated book-to-tax difference calculations and providing support across multiple tax types, including excise and property taxes. Additional tax research, planning, and analysis projects may be assigned as needed. Although this is a fully remote role, candidates must be based in Arizona. Interviews will be conducted in person at a Phoenix-area office.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and city income and franchise tax returns Prepare consolidated book-to-tax difference calculations for tax compliance Support tax compliance activities and audits (Federal, State, City, Sales/Use, Excise, Property) Perform tax account reconciliations for various corporate tax types Respond to tax notices and inquiries Assist with tax research, forecasting, fixed asset accounting, and state apportionment as needed Support ad hoc tax projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications
1–3 years of corporate tax, public accounting, or related experience (3+ years preferred) Hands-on experience with corporate income and franchise tax Multi-state tax compliance experience, including preparation and filings Form 1120 experience required (Form 1065 is a plus) Experience using corporate tax preparation software (CorpTax strongly preferred; GoSystem or similar acceptable) Experience with tax research tools such as RIA, CCH, or Bloomberg Preferred Experience
Prior experience supporting consolidated tax environments Exposure to tax audits and tax notice resolution Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
