The Mississippi Division of Medicaid responsibly provides access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged and disabled.
About the Position
The Beneficiary Relations Team at the Division of Medicaid play a crucial role in providing assistance, information, and support to Mississippi Medicaid beneficiaries, as well as efficiently managing incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate departments within the agency. The Customer Service Representative II is responsible for: handling incoming calls from beneficiaries, healthcare providers, and the general public; answering calls promptly, professionally, and with a customer-centric approach; providing assistance and support to beneficiaries regarding their Medicaid coverage, benefits, eligibility, enrollment, claims, and general inquiries; possessing comprehensive knowledge of Medicaid programs, policies, and procedures to address beneficiary concerns effectively; escalate as necessary complex issues to appropriate departments or liaise with other teams within the Division of Medicaid to find suitable solutions; accurately document all interactions, inquiries, and issues raised by beneficiaries.
