Role Summary
Neuropsych Account Specialist – Worcester, MA is responsible for the promotion and growth of Neurocrine products within a specific geographic territory. The role involves developing long-term relationships with physicians and other customers in targeted accounts, representing Neurocrine brands and their approved indications, and educating external customers such as physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and case managers about the benefits of the products. Responsibilities
Sales and Market Development
Drives product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management Executes territory sales strategies to meet or exceed objectives via in-person and virtual communications Identifies and addresses territory-specific opportunities and barriers to product success Effectively manages promotional resources and budget
Customer Relationship Management
Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers (Psychiatrists, Neurologists, NPs, PAs), clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, PharmDs), key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, community mental health clinics, long-term care facilities, and local/regional payers and pharmacies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Establishes excellent communication with internal partners including managed care, Marketing, Patient Access, Medical Science Liaisons, and medical communications teams
Professional Standards
Upholds highest ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and pharmaceutical industry best practices Demonstrates integrity and models behaviors consistent with company values and compliance policies
Work Expectations
Maintains full field presence Monday-Friday with flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in science or related field AND Minimum of 4 years of commercial pharma/biotech or related experience, including 3+ years of specialty pharmaceutical or LTC, Psychology, or Neurology sales experience is highly desired. Close-door or specialty pharmacy distribution experience is strongly preferred. Psychiatry, neurology or antipsychotic experience strongly preferred. Experience with business systems, salesforce automation platforms, and other business intelligence tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Oracle database, SAP, Business Objects, COGNOS, QlikView, Veeva, etc.) OR Master's degree in science or related field AND 2+ years of similar experience noted above Skills
